I will be flying out of Genoa on October 16 so I am looking for a place to stay the night of October 15. Something fairly reasonable and close to piazza Principe train station, where I will be arriving from Lucca.

I haven't been to Genoa, so can't recommend. However a quick search does provide a few places. Type Genoa in to the Search bar, then filter by travel forum and I like to filter for the last 2 years. I see a few hotels recommended.

We stayed at the Grand Hotel Savoia which is within walking distance of the train station. It was very charming. We also then walked to many Genoa sites.
