I need a place to stay in October near the pantheon - my son stayed there a few years ago but has forgotten the name - it was less than two blocks away and in an area of no vehicles.

Hotel Abruzzi?
We're staying at Albergo Cesari Hotel a few blocks from there, if you need another option.

Another option is Hotel Navona, between the Pantheon and Piazza Navona.

I also recommend Hotel Navona. Perfect location, three blocks from Pantheon, one block from Piazza Navona.

Hotel Della Torre Argentina is less than a 5 minute walk to pantheon. However, it is on a main road. We had an end room with very little street noise. Close to many things.

We stayed at Hotel Abruzzi and had a window that looked out over Piazza della Rotunda and the Pantheon. Loved the location.
The hotel has remodeled since we were there and next time in Rome that's where we'll go.
