We are flying into Venice Sept 30th and would like to stay 2 nights. Does anyone have suggestions where to stay that is convenient to the city. We are looking for more of a penzione. Thanks in advance

Hotel Campiello is wonderful. Great buffet breakfast, computer for your use, AC,and it is right at the main boat dock.I taught in Cincinnati for 37 yeqrs.

I loved La Calcina in the Dorsoduro. Very convenient, yet not crowded.

I always recommend Pensione Guerrato here. We stayed there for our first two visits to Venice and couldn't have been happier with it.
