My husband and I plus another couple are planning a trip to Italy in early May 2025. We plan to fly into Milan and head to Varenna where we will stay 3 nights then to Siena for another 3 nights and on to Florence for 2 nights.
I'm having difficulty finding accommodations in Varenna for less than 4 nights. Can you please recommend your choice of hotels, B & B ?

Albergo Milano will take a reservation for 3 nights in early May, for the days I checked (May 3-6 and May9-12, so weekends as well as weeknights.). This is the only place we have stayed in Varenna (2 visits) and I would again. We had the “attic room” in Casa Rossa, which is very large and bright, with a nice lakefront terrace with gorgeous view. Lots of stairs to climb, though.
It’s been a few years, but we liked Hotel Olivedo in Varuna. Not luxurious but one of the nicest rooms we’ve had, overlooking the lake. A little bit of a downside is that it is right by the ferry dock, but that makes it super convenient and very quiet at night as the ferries don’t run at night. They seem to take 3 night reservations as well (I tested some dates like Lola did) .
