Pizza making class in Rome

I have seen some of these advertised and it looks like something really fun to. However, with a price per person greater than the cost of my hotel room, it can be a very expensive way to spend a couple of hours.

Does anyone know of an inexpensive pizza or pasta making class in Rome presented in English that would not break the bank?

Hi Troy,
I too have looked for a reasonably priced cooking class in Rome and couldn't find any..all were about 120E and above. Seeing your post, I thought I would try to look again, and I just stumbled on a real steal I think..I might just now sign up for my trip in Sept. I am already doing classes in Florence and Chianti-at In Tivola (65E) and AccidentTourist all day (100E)

Their reviews seem to be really good, and for 35E for half the morning, my goodness, you couldn't do better than that!

Let me know how it works for you!

We tried lots of pizza in Italy and finally bought a recipe book in Florence at a little book store. It cost 6 euros and is all in Italian but we used our phrase books and converted the recipes we wanted. It is also full of pictures so it is a little self explanitory. We have made several pizzas since we've been home and haven't ordered out for pizza at all! It may have helped to have taken a class but having the recipe book and translating it has felt like a continuation of our experience in Italy. While there we often asked our waiters the ingredients in meals and they were always eager to share. They also use the stone ovens so to get a similar crust we use a pizza stone. Our guests are amazed when they taste our pizzas with fresh ingredients. In Italy they use toppings in season. So when we were there in May we had toppings like artichoke, asparagus, and even red cabbage! Enjoy.
