Pizza Class in Naples

Hello! My husband and I are traveling to Italy in September. The ONLY thing he has requested for the two weeks is a pizza making class in Naples. Does anyone have any experience with this? He swears it has to be in Naples and nowhere else. The Viator classes I usually book either have horrible reviews or are new and have no reviews. Bonus points if it's family friendly as we are traveling with our 1yo. Thanks!

don't forget to stop at a bakery (sfogliatella or baba) and stop at a new bakery poppella in the sanita neighborhood to try his new pastry, the "snowflake". go early lines get long (pasticceriapoppella.com)
you will get really good or really bad feelings about naples. i've been once and we had a lot of fun for the day. it's griity but the people were so nice, we ate pizza at the first restaurant ever made in naples (so they say) it was good, walked back streets to browse and buy some souvenirs then took a bus along the coast a bit. there was garbage around and the police was very present but i'm so use to that here in the bay area of california. use common sense like anywhere you travel, have a great mind and enjoy naples.

When we were in Naples a couple of years ago, we stayed at a small B&B (Chiaia B&B) and I mentioned to the owner that I really needed to work on improving my pizza making skills. She offered to call a friend of hers at a pizza restaurant around the corner and see if he would give me an hour pizza making class. He agreed to do so in the time that the restaurant closed between lunch and dinner. (Although apparently he was not legally supposed to allow me to work in the kitchen for some reason I did not understand) It was fun being the only student in the class, even though he spoke no English and my Italian is only what I can get from the Rick Steves phrase book.

So if you can't find a class offered that works for you, take a shot at "bribing" a friendly pizzaiolo or ask someone at your hotel to help you to do it. Naples does have a reputation for being amenable to that sort of thing.

I'm currently on vacation in Naples, and there are a bunch of pizza making "experiences" listed on AirBnB that have pretty good reviews. The nice thing about AirBnB is that only people who actually did the experience can post reviews (e.g. vs the company having friends post to increase their rating).
