Hi all,
I’m trying to figure out the best way to tackle the Pitti Palace, Royal Apartments, and Boboli Gardens for my upcoming trip. I’m aiming for an early start to avoid crowds and I also have a 4:30 PM time slot booked for Michelangelo's Secret Room that same day.
I am only interested in seeing the Palatine Gallery, Royal Apartments, Museum of Costume and Fashion, the Courtyard, and the Boboli Gardens. The palace opens at 8:15 AM, and I see that access to the Royal Apartments is by a 30-minute guided tour only, and those don't start until 10:00 AM. My plan is to visit the Palatine Gallery first and then head over to the checkpoint for the apartment tour, but I've heard it can take some time just to get to the meeting place. Would I have enough time for the Palatine Gallery with an 8:15am entry and 10am apartment tour? I'd welcome any advice from others who included the Royal Apartments in their visit. Also, I see that certain areas of the Boboli Gardens are undergoing restoration work. I’d love to hear from anyone who has recently visited and can share as to whether or not the construction affected the beauty of the gardens.
I will also be visiting the Royal Palaces in Turin and Genoa as well, but each are different.
Thanks in advance!
