Pisamover to Airport from Pisa Centrale

Hello,

Looking at early flights (8:00) am from Pisa Airport....and the tram called the Pisamover is open starting at 6:00 am....most reviews states it takes about 10 minutes or so from Pisa Centrale Train station to get to Pisa Airport using this service. Will this allow enough time to make the 8:00 am flight? It is only 5 euro a ticket and worried that ordering a taxi at that early hour will be an issue...and taxi is about 60 euro for a very short trip. (at least that was the price I saw online). Any advice or experience with Pisamover or flying in/out of Pisa or arriving by train most helpful.

Thanks

The PisaMover takes only about 5 min and the cost is indeed 5 euro.

The taxi doesn't cost that much, as the station is only about 1 mile from the airport, actually there is a City imposed flat fare of 10.60 euro (one way) from the station. The new fares were effective this past Feb 1, 2023 (it used to be 9 euro previously). There is a 3,05 euro surcharge for night service which would apply at that time, and also a charge of 0,80 euro per bag on the cabin or 1,50 per bag in the cargo area. Also if you call to book one, there is an additional surcharge of 1,90 euro. The flat fare from the leaning tower is a bit higher (14,60) since is farther. In any case, even in the worst scenario, you wouldn't be paying more than 20 euro. If you were quoted 60 euro, you must be staying out of town.
