We will be making a quick stop in Pisa to see the Leaning Tower. We would like to take the train to Pisa S Rossore station versus Pisa Centrale as it is closer to the tower. Just wondering if anyone knows if there is luggage storage at the Pisa S Rossore station. Thanks for any help.
There is no luggage storage at San Rossore. You'll have to go to Centrale. There is a "linea 4" bus that will get you close to the tower.
You’ll find luggage storage at Pisa Centrale but not at Pisa S. Rossore.
You can walk or take a bus from Centrale to the Field of Miracles.
If you plan to go up the tower, you may book tickets in advance to avoid possibly long queues.
Have a wonderful trip!
I did this several years ago with my then-college-aged son. Stored luggage at Pisa Centrale, and (although I'm usually a walker or bus-taker) for time purposes took taxis to and from the Field of Miracles (Tower, etc.). I don't recall the taxi being exorbitantly expensive; it's probably just several kilometers between Centrale and the Tower. I also pre-booked a climb-the-Tower timed ticket for my son. (I had earlier carefully researched train tickets and had already purchased our tickets from Rome to Pisa and then from Pisa on to the Cinque Terre.) Son checked his small backpack (required) and climbed while I spent time in the Cathedral and Baptistry. Then we grabbed some quick sandwiches before heading back to Centrale. Altogether I believe our stop in Pisa was about 3 (maybe 4?) hours.
