We are going to Pisa in April- Should I get the time slot on the online reservation?
Has anyone been there and got ticket? How long was the wait?

We were there last June and waited only a brief amount of time. Didn't know you could get advance time slots. I would think that the crowds would be that great in April.

We were there last week and we showed up at 615pm and got into the 640pm slot. It was perfect.

My wife and I currently live in Rome and travel to Pisa often. Depending on the time of year and day of the week you may need a "reservation."
A limited amount of "tickets" are available for each 20 minute slot. We took friends this week and pre-booked online through the Tower website:

Getting them in advance will guarentee your "time slot." We have been to the Tower without tickets and we had to wait 3 1/2 hours until slots opened up... If you do not pre-book, your "wait time" will be determined by those already pre-booked, tour group bookings, and the size of your group.
If you pre-book you will get email confirmation, they will ask for your passport number as verification (take it with you!!!), and you just go to the ticket office and hand them your "email confirmation." Have a GREAT time!!

I might book it online just to be safe.. I just don't want to either show up too early and have to kill time, or show up late and waste the money.
