I'll be taking a train that passes through Pisa Centrale and Pisa S Rossore. Does anyone know which side of the train it's better to sit on to get a view of the tower? Thanks!
It is the Pisa San Rossore stop where you can see the tower. (you feel like you want jump off the train if you do not plan to get off there)
It is on the right side based on the order you say that you are passing through.
Can you actually see it?
I would think that the view is likely obstructed by the buildings between the railway and the tower..
I don't recall seeing the tower until I was off the train at San Rossore and walking toward it.
I recall that I could see the head of the tower not the whole thing the train stop before arriving to Pisa Centrale from La Spezia.
I hate to say it but if you really want to see it, you'll have to get off the train and walk over to it.
I don't recall seeing the tower from the train either.
If you have a couple of hours to spare, en route to your destination, you may consider stopping at Pisa Centrale (where you can store your luggage) then visiting the tower.
If you do plan to go up the tower, it's a good idea to buy your tickets in advance in order to skip the possibly long queue.
