Pisa logistics

Am flying into Pisa at 2:50 from Spain. Am taking a train at 1629 from Pisa Central to Vernazza.
The next earlier takes longer and arrives only 17 minutes earlier.
If we want to catch an earlier autobus will they let us if I buy the below ticket on the trenitalia website?
I think I'd rather spend time intown than at the airport.
Is it a bus or people over?
Do you have to exchange the printed ticket from Trenitalia for the people over or just use it like a regular train ticket?
Would we have time to go to the leaning tower? Have seen it before so not critical.

The bus to Pisa Centrale is 1.30 euro and goes every 10 minutes, so just take it as soon as you get your luggage. If you take one of the itineraries using only Regionale trains, its 8.70 euro and takes about 1 hr 45 min. If you take itineraries using the IC train to La Spezia, it's 10.40 to 10.70 euro and takes from 1 hr 24 min to 1 hr 40 min, with the Frecciabianca, it's 11.40 to 11.70 euro and takes 1 hr 10 min to 1 hr 40 min.
So you can just take the bus to PC, store your bags if you want to explore Pisa for a bit and take the train to Vernazza when you decide.

Just buy tickets when you are ready to travel. There's no advantage to buying online for regional trains or the airport shuttle bus. If you pre-purchase a departure that includes the FRECCIABIANCA, then that portion of the ticket will be for a particular, reserved date, time, and seat assignment.

Thanks very much. looks like it's a 20 minute walk between Pisa central and the tower so will try to fit it in. Only there for a weekend so trying to spend as much time in Cinque Tera as I can.

It's a little over 20 min. walk, unless you power walk.
But if time is more important than money, you can take a taxi and be there in 3 minutes.
