Pisa lodging

Will be in Pisa in the fall, 2 nights. We are a couple just over 50yrs. Looking for lodging suggestion. Fancy, opulent is wasted on us. Unique, reliable, and CLEAN is our goal w/ breakfast a plus. Would like to be within walking distance to tower but we are flexible on that if unique enough. THANX

randal,

The RS Italy or Florence & Tuscany guidebooks will have suggestions for lodgings in Pisa. You might find it useful to pack along a copy, either hard copy or the E-book version if you're travelling with a tablet or other device.

A few hotels you could have a look at.....

  • http://www.royalvictoria.it/en/?page=ctgr1 (I haven't stayed there but it looks like a reasonably good albeit slightly older hotel, and more importantly it appears to be in a good location between the rail station and the Tower and right on the river. They appear to provide a very rich buffet breakfast, but no idea what that might consist of?).
  • http://www.hotelastor.pisa.it/en/index.html (looks slightly more upscale and modern, not a far walk to the Tower and on the same side of the river as the rail station, and also appear to provide breakfast).
