So 3 nights Pisa. It's a lay over stop, already will have done Florence and Cinque Terre. Besides seeing the leaning tower, and a day trip to Lucca, other ideas?

Not much to see in Pisa but the tower and church. Maybe rent a car and drive South to Volterra, San Gimignano, and/or Siena?

Hi Liz,
Just back last week and agree w/other posters. We LOVED Lucca! Could you stay there and do day trips to Pisa and Siena?
As everyone has said, not much there except tower. Or stay in Siena and do day trips to Lucca and Pisa?

Do be sure to go inside both the cathedral and the baptistery in Pisa. They're often overlooked.
