Hi
We visited Pisa with about the same train times last year. We walked to the tower and on the way stopped at
Church of Santa Maria della Spina: A small white marble church alongside the Arno, is attributed to Lupo di Francesco (1230), it is an excellent Gothic building. It is small and no longer used as a church but quite unique.

If you're only going to spend 1.5 hours there you won't really have time to visit anything else. I would plan at least 3 hours if you really want to see things other than the tower.

You can sprint to the bell tower but if you plan to climb it, there will be a line, plus the climb. If you want to visit the Baptistry, Duomo or Cemetery, I would allow three hours.

If you don't climb the tower you can possibly see the duomo, tower and baoistry in that time breeding through them. Save time and tax a cab from the train station there. Oh will you be storing your bags. That could take up 15-20 depenijg how long the line is. When in was there they only had 1 guy working the bag room.

For 1.5 hours I would have skipped it. Pisa from Rome a d to Venice is a long trip with some regional trains. I would have just used the high speed train Rome to Venice.

Thank you for all the replies.

Looks like time is tight but I will still try to do it.

Hope the queue in baggage storage not too long at that time. Ar 9:45am.

The bag storage at Pisa Centrele is at the end of track 1. Walk all the way to the end and you'll pass a small police station at the station and then you'll see the baggage storage.

Hi
Just to clarify when we visited Pisa we simply went to see the tower - we did not attempt to climb it or visit the Duomo.
We also did not have luggage with us.

Hmmm, so you are traveling from Rome to Venice, via Pisa to check and claim your bags and spend 90 minutes total, to see the Leaning Tower, is that right? Up to you, but that will be both a lengthy day and a rushed visit. On a bright day, the tower will look lovely, just like in a good photo. On a dull day, it won't look as good. In your place I would either take a fast train from Rome to Venice and enjoy a more leisurely late afternoon and evening in Venice, or I would spend more time for a nicer and more relaxed visit in Pisa, and arrive later in Venice.
