Any recommendations on bus vs train from Pisa airport in for a quick (3-5 hr)visit to the Field of Miracles? Planning to go on to Lucca later in the day.
Are you taking the train to Lucca? We visited the info booth at the airport and they directed us to take a bus to the train station (where we dropped off our bags) and then we took another bus to the Field of Miracles. Both times the bus stops were just outside in front (didn't have to walk far) and both trips only took minutes. We walked back to the train station as we were leaving from there.

If you are planning on going to Lucca from Pisa Centrale I would take the train from the airport. I would drop off my bag at left luggage and go explore. It is a nice 10 minute walk to the field of miracles down a main pedestrian shopping street. That way you don't have to return back to the airport.
If for any reason you are returning to the airport (perhaps a rental car) you can leave your bags there. If going from the airport I would get on the LAM Rosso bus as that goes direct from the Airport to the Field of Miracles.
