How much time should I budget to see the Leaning Tower and the rest of Pisa? I heard there's not too much of interest or much good food. So what's a good amount of time to stop over in Pisa on my way from Cinque Terre to Rome? And is the tower worth climbing? Thanks!

The tower is worth climbing in my opinion but you need to book in advance with a set time

The whole complex is worth seeing if you are going for the tower anyway. The restaurants around Campo dei Miracoli are not the best, in fact some of them are terrible, because they are busy with tourists for the Leaning Tower and know that they probably won't get return business.
If you combine Pisa and Lucca in one day trip (very easy to do), eat in Lucca.

in the visitors center there is a short video....like 20 mins, that shows attempts to straighten the tower thru the years. free restrooms are in the place where the mandatory bag check is.
