Any information re: the above would be most helpful. We will be traveling in May, arriving at the Pisa airport before 6pm and have our reservations in Vernazza. I have been trying to look up train information to get an idea of time and cost but I think it is too early. We will be returning to LaSpezia to pick up a car rental on our return. Again, thank you to anyone that can help me navigate this.

All trains called Regionale and Regionale Veloce can't sell out. All the other trains rarely sell out.
La Spezia main station is called La Spezia Centrale.
Frankly you can forget about trains schedules till December 9.
Do not buy train tickets after a flight in advance, since trains do not sell out it would be a pointless risk. Get a through ticket to Vernazza at Pisa Airport, either online or at the automatic machines by the People Mover "tracks" at the airport.
Trenitalia made registering on their site almost impossible for foreigners, online you'll have to buy as a non registered user.
