Pisa Airport to Cinque Terre

Flying into Pisa - How do we get from the Pisa Airport to the train station to get to Manarola, Cinque Terre? Any experiences welcome!

The airport is located just 1/2 half mile from Pisa Central Railway Station. Easy walk. From Pisa Central Station you can reach any destination of the Italian railway network.

If you don't want to walk a half mile with your luggage, there is a continuous shuttle bus to Pisa Centrale.

Right: here's the info on the bus (we've done it; it's easy):

And do note this text:
"You can buy your train ticket, which includes the PisaMover Bus service ticket price, to Florence Santa Maria Novella Railway Station and to all the Italian railway destinations at Pisa Airport Information Office (Arrivals Hall)."

Looks like you can buy your complete journey - bus to Centrale and onward rail to Manarola - at the airport.

nancy,

That's a very easy trip. As the others have mentioned, take the airport bus to Pisa Centrale and then connect with trains to Manarola. The trip from Pisa Centrale to Manarola will be a bit more than an hour, and usually one change at La Spezia Centrale. The first segment may be via Intercity or Freccia, so your tickets will come with compulsory seat reservations. The second segment will likely be via Regionale, so don't forget to validate your ticket prior to boarding the train or you'll risk hefty fines!

Hi Nancy - Just a question regarding your flight since I plan on flying into Pisa for a trip next summer. Are you flying in and out of Pisa or into Pisa and out of another city?
Next summer I plan on flying into Pisa to stay in Monterosso for a few nights and then go down to Naples/Amalfi Coast and fly out of Naples. I'm still looking into the most efficient way to do this.

Jenna, it's probably best to start a new thread with your question.

That said, the most efficient way is to take trains from Monterosso to Naples. Transportation from there depends on where you're going and what time your departing flight from Naples is.

Very easy to fly open jaw rather than back track to fly in and out of the same place. It doesn't seem to be more expensive either.
