For anyone flying in or out of Pisa airport, there is a shuttle train that runs into the Centro, but there is also a bus - that way you don't have to contend with the train station stairs if you have a lot of luggage. It runs every 10 mins & takes about 10 mins to reach the train station in town. Tickets are 1.5 euro each way & the name of the bus into town is LAM Rosso-Torre (takes you to the tower) & outbound is LAM Rosso-Aeroporto.
