Pilgrimage in Tuscany

I walked the Camino de Santiago last year. I read about the Via Francigena. I would welcome any info. I am most interested in walking the leg from Lucca to Siena. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The route is well documented now and there is a new welcome center in Lucca. The official Tuscan tourism site has several articles: http://www.turismo.intoscana.it/allthingstuscany/aroundtuscany/?s=francigena and there are numerous websites to help, such as http://www.pilgrimstorome.org.uk/
We followed the story of a blogger friend who walked part way. Her account begins here: http://ciaolunigiana.com/lunigiana-rome-via-francigena/ She had to stop after mid-way because of the heat, so timing the hike and back-up plans are serious considerations.
If you are interested in more rural, forested, hilly, and mountainous sections, consider Fidenza to Sarzana which crosses the Apuan Alps via the Cisa Pass. It's a beautiful countryside on both sides of the mountains.
