I will be travelling to the Piedmont region in September. I would like to be centrally located and would like to stay at an agriturismo. Does anyone have any suggestions on which town to stay in/ places to stay?
thanks.
We spent two nights in that area in October 2008. We stayed at Cantina Rizzi. It is a small winery run by the Dellapiana family. They rent two apartments. Our apartment was very nice, it had a kitchen and terrace. They were harvesting Barbera while we were there and we got to see the process. We also were treated to a wonderful cellar tour/tasting. It is near Treiso, a small town with only three restaurants, but they are all really good. We recommended it to friends who stayed there in December and they liked it as much as we did. I would like to go back for a longer stay and tour some of the nearby wine towns that are close by.
