We will be visiting the Piedmont area for a couple of days in early June. My husband and I are both interested in tasting the great Piedmont wines and food. I am looking for suggestions of restuarants, events, castles, etc. in that area. Rick doesn't have a lot of suggestions in my books!

The areas you want for that are Langhe and Monferrato and Roero. All are primarily in the Provinces of Asti, Cuneo and Alessandria. These are some of the official local tourism agencies' websites. We did a cooking/wine tour with Leslie and Robert from Travel Langhe 2 years ago. It was amazing! You can find them on the net and tripadvisor..they were in Alba. My friend went back the next year and did another wine tour with them as well.
