Pickup Colosseum ticket a day early?

We're traveling to Rome in July and I have a time booked for a tour of the Colosseum through coopculture. The website says that our tickets cover admission to the colosseum and the forum over a two day period. Our Colosseum tour is for a Wednesday but I'd like to visit the forum on Tuesday morning as early as I can. Will it work to pick up my Colosseum tickets on Tuesday and show back up on Wednesday for my tour? Where would I go to pick up the tickets on Tuesday? The Colosseum ticket office?

As far as I'm aware, you can't pick up your tickets in advance of your Colosseum tour so you'll have to see the Forum/Palatine afterwards.

Hi

Double check. I just returned and had a tour at 4 PM on Wed. I showed them my tickets on my phone. I was able to visit the Roman and Palatine hill before it got too hot at 10 am. No question asked.

Hmmmm, I wonder if they changed policy or that decision was at the whim of whomever it was on duty that day? Whatever the case, I guess our OP can give it a shot, eh?

thefer,

Was the ticket you showed on the phone just your email confirmation you got from coopculture? I could switch things and do the forum after the Colosseum, but I'm traveling with kids and so was trying to save inside stuff for the afternoons because of heat.

We were able to pick up our tickets at, and enter the Palatine Hill entrance around 11a, with a Colosseum appointment at 415p. They told us that we can even do the Colosseum that day, and come back the next day for the Palatine Hill/Forum.

That I know is possible for sure. Entry tickets are good for 2 consecutive days so yes, you can visit the Colosseum on one day and return for the Palatine+Forum the next day. What you can't do is split visits to the Palatine and Forum: both must be done at the same time.
