I got some smartpass tickets from trenitalia and it looks like the pick up station is "malpensa". Does anyone know if this is the airport, and where these self-service machines are?

Judith, Yes, Malpensa is the main airport in Milan. I don't have a specific location, but suspect that you'll need to pick-up your tickets at one of the automated Kiosks ("self-service machines") in the rail station. Have a look at This Website for a general idea where the station is located (shown as "Level -1" on the website). Happy travels!

OK great, so it is by the train into Milano Centrale. I'm catching a train to Spiez so I've got to hurry and appreciate the map link. Thanks Ken.
