I just purchased an on-line prepaid ticket for the Colosseum for a tour (offered by the Colosseum) at a reserved time, it did not give me the option to print the ticket at home, but instead, I need to pick the ticket(s) up at the ticket office. My reserved time is for late in the afternoon, I was planning on going to the Forum/Palatine prior to the Colosseum tour(morning). How do I pick up my tickets for the Colosseum tour and for the Forum/Palatine and how/when do I check in for the tour? Will I be able to go to the Forum/Palatine prior to the Colosseum if not can I use the tickets for the next day? Roughly how much time do I need to allow for each line up?
These tickets are not valid before the entry time you have chosen for your tour. You will check in for your tour and pick up your tickets at the colosseum. After security you'll go to the special events desk to pick up your tickets. At that point they will tell you the meeting location for your tour. After the tour or the next day you can use your entry tickets go to the forum/palatine hill.

Hi Donna, thank you for reply it was very helpful.
Just so I understand the ques, I go through security first ( showing them a print out of my email), then I go to the special events desk to pick up my tickets( for all 3 events) and to check in for my tour. How much in advance of my tour should I do this ( ie 15 -30 mins)?
Also, if I go to the Forum and Palantine after the Colosseum, will it give me enough time before they close?
Thank you.
Yes, you are correct about the order.
If your tour is in the morning I would say to get there at least a half hour early. If it's in the late morning or afternoon give yourself an hour to get through security and to the events desk.
