Hello everyone
Just heard from Paolo, the owner of Piccolo Hotel Puccini in Lucca. Earlier in the month, he had severe joint pains, had trouble eating and a high fever and has since recovered, he never mentioned any type of breathing problems. He said Lucca is like a ghost town and seemed so upset, which is so unlike him.
If you have stayed there, you know Paolo and his upbeat personality and helpful demeanor. You can send him an email at [email protected], I’m sure he would appreciate it. I tell him all the time how he has helped our family in several circumstances and I’m sure he has reached out to others.
Soon we will all be able to travel to Italy again and Lucca is a great place to stay. The train is directly outside the walls and gives you access to Florence and Pisa, and from there you can go just about anywhere.
If you stay in Lucca, I highly recommend this small hotel, it is right here the magnificent San Michele church, clean, quiet and extremely reasonable. Paolo, Franco and the other staff will help with any questions, problems, etc. The Ristorante Casa Puccini is right around the corner and outstanding and also very reasonable.
Thank you! Stay healthy and stay home for now.
