We are arriving in Venice on a cruise ship around 1pm on July 8 and would like to get from there to the island of Murano. I have been to Venice twice before and am familiar with the vaporetti system. What is the best way to get from Stazione Maritime to Murano? I think that we take the people mover to PIazzale Roma. Can I catch line 3 directly from there and go straight to Murano? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

You are correct. Just walk to the people mover and zip over to P. Roma for about one Euro each unless it has gone up. Not sure if # 3 vap. goes straight to Murano. Google "Venice Vaporetto routes". There should be several maps of the routes. Or just go to the official ACTV site and check there.
