Has anyone visited in June or July 2011? Have read that the restoration of the mosaics has been slow and that several rooms are closed. Might not be worth a 2-hour trip by public transportation each way. Any advice?

I just returned this last May and the mosaics were beautiful. I belive there will always be some sort of restoration at these kinds of sites. There were a few rooms blocked off. They rest were still worth seeing. Four hours of bus travel to see them would be a lot of time no matter what ancient site you were visiting. Could you take in the nearby town as well? That would certainly make it wort the trip.
