We'll hopefully be visiting Monreale (Palermo) in early November. The RS guide recommends bringing a small pair of binoculars to better view the mosaics. I could use my cameras telephoto lenses instead,if cameras are allowed. Does anyone have recent information on photography inside the cathedral? Thanks.
No cameras when we went before Covid. The Mosaics are unbelievable!
I saw the cathedral in 2017. Cameras were definitely ok.
We were there in April. We took lots of photos. We don’t use flash.
Of 30 or so churches we have been in, photos were disallowed in 1. I don't take photos during a mass but otherwise I do. Flash is never allowed.
