Petritoli, Fermo, Le Marche from Rome

Soon I'll be heading to Petritoli, Fermo, Le Marche from Rome. Can anyone tell me how to get there without renting a car? I've looked at taking the train and the bus, but the closest station/stop I can find are in neighboring towns Pedaso, Porto San Girogio, or Fermo. Is there a way to get from one of these towns to Petritoli? I would prefer to take the train. I am also trying to avoid renting a car.

When we leave we have an 1800 flight from Rome. I want to make sure I am able to make the train back to the airport in time.

Looks like a combination of bus/train is all you've got.

Is there a reason you don't want to rent a car? Seems those locations might be best served with a rental car.

We are going to Citinova Marche this fall. We also hoped to avoid renting a car, but looked like the trains and/bus options would take 7-9 hours with several transfers. For the same cost of 2 round trips, we rented a car from Tiburtina station in Rome, returning to FCO airport. The drive as about 3 hours one way. If you do take publuc transportation, I would return to Rome the day before. Too risky to try the whole journey in a day in time for a 1800 flight. How much time will you be in Marche? I can recommend some places we really liked.
