Pesto Making Classes in Cinque Terre

Hello,
We are heading to Italy in July on a Rick Steves' My Way tour. Looking for suggestions on a Pesto Making Class in the Cinque Terre. Any ideas?
Grazie!

I know it is not the most practical thing to learn about pesto making in a class setting in the CT but the ambience and authenticity of it all are definitely intriguing. My wife already makes great pesto, but learning about it in Italy would be special. That website does look really good though. Thanks!

Guests can attend cooking demonstrations where Felicita will prepare Ligurian pesto and explain its history. All of this then followed by dinner, when you will be able to taste the freshly-made pesto.
In the evenings you will appreciate our menu, with various traditional speciality dishes including flavours, herbs and spices harvested from our own vegetable gardens, and prepared according to old regional recipes.
The lesson and dinner will be held if we reach a minimum of 10 participants.
To sign up, just enquire at the reception desk.

Perhaps you can recruit enough bus mates to make the needed head count.

It was an included event on the Best of Italy 17 day tour and a delightful experience.

The experience at Nessun Dorma is really fun. The food after is very good and you eat the pesto you make. Might seem a bit pricey, but a good time and the view is wonderful. Each class is upwards of 50 people, but there are lots of tables. No one is forced to sit with 8 people they don’t know, etc. Well organized, well presented-just a fun experience.

I also did the class that Joe linked to above at Hotel Pasquale (part of RS tour). Though it was many, many years ago I still vividly remember the class and the food we had afterwards - it would be my final request meal if I were forced to choose one. And I still make pesto the way Felicita instructed (make sure you take notes!)

My husband and I were staying at Villa Steno (Monterosso) and did their pesto making class with Carla. I believe you can take the class without staying there. There were only eight people in the class and afterwards we ate the pesto that we made along with sea bass, roasted potatoes and salad. It was so much fun and even though I make pesto I learned some new tips. We dined outside on Villa Steno's upper terrace with beautiful views of the sea. It was a highlight of our trip to Italy last October.
