In June, at the end of our Best of Italy in 17 Days Tour we would like to visit Pesaro for 2 days. We will travel from Rome by train. Any recommendations for hotels, restaurants and must see sights?
Thanks in advance!
I also suggest Fano which is nearby. I've stayed in both but I prefer Fano. I don't remember where I stayed either time. I highly recommend visiting Pergola... you can reach it by bus and is off the beaten path and amazing. There are some amazing several thousand years old bronze statues that were discovered by chance I believe in the 1940s. Very small town... nothing really open in the afternoons during the "pausa".
It helps to know why you picked Pesaro, what kinds of things you like to do. I loved San Bartolo park, but we had a car. With just one full day, I’d just check out Pesaro..
The reason that we want to visit Pesaro is this is where my husband’s great grandparents and grandparents were from before coming to the US in the early 1900’s.
How nice! I could not include it in my Marche itinerary, but I felt like it would be a nice place to live (people often ask about long stays in smaller cities).
