Any recommendations for a hotel in Perugia that is inexpensive and close to the rail station? We are having a great time in Italy and just added another week. Thinking of basing in Perugia for day trips to Gubbio, Spoleto, Assisi, etc. Any suggestions? Thanks to all

In May of this year I stayed in the Primavera Minihotel (www.primaveraminihotel.it) It is inexpensive, but not near the station. We didn't find any decent recommended hotels near the station, but this one is inside the city walls, an easy bus ride to the trains. We did day trips to Gubbio, Assisi and Spello.
