Although my husband and I have been to Italy many times, I would like to arrange a walking tour for six in Venice, Florence, and Rome. We are traveling there next with four others who have never been. Expert guides are so good with art, architecture, history, etc. Recommendations? Experiences? Apartments are rented, our Rick Steves books purchased, and we are looking

You will certainly receive many references on this site, but two companies to check out are Artviva.com for Venice and Florence and Througheternity.com for Rome. They offer group and private tours. Your party makes up a small group tour by itself. You can find references on Tripadvisor and many of those members who posted reviews will gladly respond to PM messages if you have questions. We have always had good luck with walking tours arranged through the local TI. In Florence we used Florence Walking Tours and Angel Tours in Rome. Angel tours was prearrange and Florence was through the TI.
