Hoping to get a personal tour guide for my family of four (2 teenagers) at the Vatican one day and Forum/ Colosseum another day. Does anyone have specific experience with one that's much better (or worse) than others?

This guide was the one used for the tour of Colosseum, Forum etc on our RS tour.

We have used Katia Cutrone with Appetitours.com many times. Our last visit was with our children(teenagers) and she always does a fabulous job. Her English is perfect. We did the Vatican one day and Colloseum/Forum/St Clements/Peters Chains the next day. I highly recommend her. Her email is [email protected]. Enjoy

And I will weigh in with Sonia Tavoletta ([email protected]). She is a colleague of Francesca Caruso. We have taken a tour with her and sent many visitors her way when we lived in Rome. Everyone was delighted. Francesca is terrific, too, but tough to book.

One more vote for Francesca Caruso. She's an exceptional guide and a really nice person. I don't think you'd be disappointed. Book well in advance though!
