Pepe in Grani Outside of Naples

This is a long shot but here goes. I am going to be in Naples with my girlfriend from April 20-26 and really want to eat at Pepe in Grani in Caiazzo, about an hour outside of Naples reachable only by car. It's reputed to be the best pizza in the world. We thought it would be fun to find a few more people to go with to be able to try more pizzas. Meeting other travelers is also one of the most memorable parts of travel for me.

Is anyone going to be in Naples then and interested in a pizza pilgrimage to Caiazzo? We will have a rental car on April 25 (no reservations accepted so we'd likely have to show up early and stand in line) or are happy to share cab fare another night.

Daniel, if case you missed it, April 25th is a national holiday in Italy (Liberation Day). Being it falls on a weekend this year, the restaurant may be even busier than on a normal busy holiday.

I know that this won't be your first rodeo in Italy so apologies if you already knew this. :O)
Wow. 3 months in the The Boot and 5 weeks of that in my beloved Rome.... I am SO jealous!

@Kathy I did not know that so thank you!

@alluring I'll check that place out too but I've got my heart set on making the trek out to Caiazzo once. I know I'd regret not going even if there is a lot of amazing pizza to be had elsewhere. When I went to Italy last time, I didn't go to Panzano despite reading all about Dario Cecchini in the book HEAT by Bill Buford. I regretted it. This time I'll be going there too.
