With a project awarded for 15million Euros the Colosseum floor will be covered by 2023, giving tourists a 'gladiator' experience being able to stare up at the seating from the arena floor

If you watch the video, the covering will be like sectioned blinds. The floor slats will rise up and from underneath you can see but when closed you can walk on it. Very clever.
