Paying Parking tickets for San Gimignano

Received a parking ticket at San Gimignano. Thought folks may want to know how easy it is to pay the fine online. Step by step below.

Process:
First, wait til the end of the day or the next day to allow time for processing the violation into their system. Second, either use a QR code reader app on your phone to read the ticket's QR code automatically (which then takes you to their web page) or go to the (same) webpage listed on ticket and enter the information from the ticket manually (much easier with QR code reader). If your ticket is not yet processed into their system it will say it cannot be found. Wait a day. Third, if the violation is already processed into their system, you will be able to access a payment page through that website where you can pay the fine online using a credit card directly or a credit card via the " Masterpass" system. I used a US based card (Chase) direcly no problem. Fourth, you do not get an emailed receipt so I suggest you get screen shots showing the transaction . You may also use the QR reader to check back on their website and verify that the fine is listed as "paid".

(Note to busybody travel forum obsessives: don't waste your time lecturing me on getting a parking ticket in the first place or the use of cars etc, etc. ...this is the last time I will read this post and it will fall on deaf ears anyway).
