We are staying in Nocelle in a couple of weeks... Would you recommend starting at our Villa and walking the path or take a bus to the other end and walking back? We are also considering only walking halfway and turning around so that we don't have to take a bus

We stayed in Positano and rode the bus up to Nocelle, hiking toward Bomerano and down into Praiano.
We kept turning around towards Positano for great photos !
So maybe hiking toward Positano would be the best !

It depends on how comfortable you are with taking the local bus. You have to catch it at Amalfi. We did that trip a few years ago. We don't speak Italian and it was slightly confusing figuring out what time the bus comes and goes but beyond that it worked out great. We loved it. It was our favorite hike ever! We stayed at Casa Curaco in Nocelle. It was so nice to just walk to our door!
