Path of Lemons and visit Maiori and Minori

Hi all!

Staying in Amalfi and we're thinking of heading over to Minori and Maiori for the day and doing the Path of Lemons. Wondering which direction would be best? Thinking of exploring one of the towns, doing the Path of Lemons, lunch and hang at the beach. Then ferry or bus back to Amalfi. Another part of our group is doing the Path of the Gods that day, but thinking this might be a bit of a more "chill" day instead of that hike.

Our other full day in Amalfi we're going to go up to Ravello and walk back down to Atrani, so we'll get some views from up high that day.

Thanks for the feedback on this!

Sorry I can't remember if there was much of a difference of which direction is best to take, but it was a very nice hike (not too intense) and to me the perfect way to spend a day. We actually walked all the way to Ravello (the path extends) and then down to Atrani and over to Amalfi.
For deciding which direction, you might look at pics of the beaches to see which one you wold rather end on (Maiori's is larger) and also peruse the restaurants to see if there is one you'd prefer starting with. Pasticceria Sal De Riso is in Minori and it gets a lot of love--a pastry after a hike is always a good thing. There is a minor archaeological site in Minori also.

We started in Maiori and walked to Minori but it doesn't really matter. I think Maiori might be a bit more interesting and have more lunch options, so it may make a good end point. It's a short walk-I hesitate to call it a hike because it's all on a paved path.

We walked from Maiori to Minori. If you have mobility issues or are not physically fit, be warned that the beginning of the walk has lots of steep stairs. When you get to Minori, make sure to reward yourself with a visit to Pasticceria Sal De Riso. Try their Delizia al Limone.

Thanks all for the feedback! Two votes for Pasticceria Sal De Riso warrants a stop for sure! I just got Rick Steve's new Italy guidebook for Kindle and there's a decent sized section in there about the two towns, so I'll go through that and report back. Appreciate the input!
