Pasta, Gelato & Wine Tours in around Florence

We wii be in Florence for a couple days at 2 different times this September. We have no transportation but are looking for a good couple of day trips with a group that takes you to wineries and others that have pizza & other cooking classes. If you’ve had a good experience with any, I’d love to hear about them, Thank You!!

We've just booked a tour with Grape Tours, operating out of Formaggioteca Terroir in the Oltrarno. They come highly recommended and have several options out of Florence. They keep their tour size to a maximum of 8, and their reviews are fantastic. https://www.tuscan-wine-tours.com/ Sadly, we won't be going until October, but I think they might have what you're looking for! We opted for the Super Chianti tour, as it includes a stop in Greve and a lunch at a famous butcher shop.

We also considered some of the day tour/around Florence tours through Curious Appetite. Their offerings look unique and delicious, but as they are rather expensive we had to pick between one of these and a Wine Tour. They have food and cocktail tours as well as lessons. https://curiousappetitetravel.com/tours-in-italy

We used ToursbyRoberto in May (he's a Rick Steve's guide) it was fabulous.

That's good to know! I did see that Rick had mentioned that in his book. It's always nice to hear reviews from someone that's done the tour. I will check it out!
Thank you again!

hey hey jerry
you are so welcome. after my many trips to europe plus here in the states i wanted fun things to do. seen enough churches, museums, architecture buildings, it's time to see and do other things.
my last trip to france in october 2019 i was on a mission for "best" eclairs and croissants, plus eating souffles. 2 years before was french onion soup which i loved la maison rose in montmarte.
in venice was a private prosecco tour, in reims france was a CV2 tour of the champagne vineyards, a flight of local vineyards for champagne on main street in reims, in london was a private gin tour of local pubs since i'm a gin drinker.
the tours were so much fun and entertaining.
where are you headed after florence? don't forget to look at eatingeurope.com/ florence
never heard of lemonicello before growing up in a small country town of 4,000 on the big island of hawaii. walked into wine/spirit store near piazza navona and tasted every bottle of it. thank goodness our apartment was nearby.
you will have a great time, enjoy

Let us know what you decide. We were a group of 6 and did a private tour with Roberto - but I'll tell you if you haven't been to Siena he does a GREAT tour there .... I've been there 2 times before and he blew me away with his tour... born and raised there and so in love with his town.
