parmigiano cheese factory tour, and other things to do in Parma

My wife and I will be traveling in September, spending one night in Parma before two nights in Bologna and heading south from there. Does anyone have a half-day or less Parmigiano Reggiano cheese factory tour recommendation? Could be one with Parma ham and maybe lunch.
Also interested in other things to do and see in Parma and Bologna. Thanks for your feedback!

Probably one of these tours can be the option for you: https://emiliaromagnatours.it/parma-tours/
Are group tours, so the cost isn't high. The Half day is the one you are looking for, but even the option with lunch ad Traditional Balsamic vinegar producer is nice.
In Parma, Bologna and generally in Emilia-Romagna is plenty of thing to be visited. Torrechiara or Fontanellato castles for example. Ferrari and Pavarotti museums and Pagani factory near Modena. Pilotta museum in Parma. Cathedral in Modena, San Petronio and Santo Stefano in Bologna as churches.

Miuccia, thank you so much for your input. We’ll be sure to include the churches you mentioned. We have only one night in Bologna, so we’ll be looking for a good restaurant for a bolognese pasta meal and nice wine.! Can’t wait to be there! Thanks again.
