Parma to Museo Casa Enzo Ferrari

Hi,
My husband and I are traveling to Italy for 3 weeks in April 2018, we are starting in Venice, staying 3 nights and then traveling to Parma for another 3 nights. We plan on going to the Museo Casa Enzo Ferrari in Modena for a day, we are also thinking about renting a car to drive from Venice to Parma. When I look at directions from Parm to Museo Casa Enzo Ferrari, driving appears complicated, and the bus seems to take hours. Does anyone have any experience with the Ferrari museums? There are 3, I want to go to the one that recently opened, but really, I just want it to be an easy trip there... Bus? Train? or Car? Or should we hit the museum on the way to Parma from Venice? We will be in Parm for 3 days, to enjoy the Ferrari museum, a cooking class, and to enjoy the food.
Thank you for your help in advance!!

We drove to Modena from Bologna (and also to Sant'Agata) because of a bus strike. Parma to Modena is an easy train ride and you can walk from the train station to Museo Casa Ferrari. This is in Modena while the Ferrari museum with the driving experience is in Maranello not Modena. There is a shuttle that you can make arrangements for that will take you from the Modena train station to th Maranello site. This info is on the Ferrari site.

You probably don't need a car. By either train or car, Parma to Modena is a straight shot along highway A1. If you were to drive to Maranello, I'd stick to the A1 as far as possible, rather than taking a more winding route on local roads. The museum's shuttle bus from Modena train station works great, but only a few times per day, so check schedules in advance.

Thanks for all the information, I had no idea it was that easy, and I didn't know about the options for visiting Luciano Pavarotti's home. We will take the shuttle back and forth to both museums, thanks again for all the good advice... I just love Rick Steves site.
