We are only going to have an afternoon to explore the Cinque Terre in our drive from Genoa to Pisa. Should we park the car in Levanto or La Spezia? I have heard parking is better in Levanto and close to the train station. Our plan is park there take the train to Manarola and explore a little and then take the train back. Just wondering what others have done.

Levanto makes sense to me, since you will hit there just before the CT area. Walk as much as you desire and take the train back to Levanto. Have a great trip!

Park at Levanto, because it will allow you to by-pass La Spezia when driving to Pisa later in the day. It is not a big city, but holiday traffic can bring things to a gridlock near the port.
