I’ll be driving from Venice to Florence and was wondering if there are any convenient parking areas located outside the city center where I can leave my car and then take public transportation into the city.
Also, I prefer not to leave my luggage in the car—are there any luggage storage or locker facilities near these parking areas?

The most convenient is Villa Costanza, a large parking lot along the A1 freeway with its own dedicated freeway exit. From there you can take the T1 light rail tramway to the city center (SMN station).

It doesn’t have a luggage storage facility however, therefore take all valuables with you, lock your luggage and tie the bags to the car using a cable lock. Not 100% theft proof but better than nothing. The lot is patrolled by a security service and has CCTV surveillance cameras system that uses AI to detect suspicious activity.

It’s located here, well outside the ZTL not far from the airport (A1 freeway exit: FIRENZE NORD). I’ve used it only to pick up and return rental cars (Europcar uses it).
