Parking in Venice with a large size van.

We are traveling to Italy in two weeks and are trying to find the best place to park in Venice with our large size van. The website for Tronchetto says that the height limit is 2.1 which is too low for our van that is 2.3. It also says that vans, busses, and campers can park outside at this garage, but I can't find where to reserve an outside spot online. I have also seen that we might want to park on the mainland to save time. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

The parking silo that I have used at Mestre also has a height restriction but I saw some open lots. I can't vouch for those though.

What about parking down by the car ferry camping at Fusina? Should be plenty of room there, but again I can't vouch for them.

Last time I parked at the SABA parking in Mestre. Their multistory structure may have similar height restrictions however they also have an open lot next to the structure where there would be no height restrictions.
A block away behind the Best Western Bologna there was another parking lot (Gregory). It was an all open lot (not multistory) therefore there would be no height restrictions. Google it and book it because, being just an open lot on the ground floor, it would not hold as many cars as the multistory structures around.
