Usually there is a suggestion for a parking lot on the outskirts of the city for the cities RS covers, but I can't seem to find one for Padua - maybe I'm just missing it. All I plan to do is stop there to see the Scrovegni Chapel, but of course, I don't want to drive in the city center. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
Park at the Carpark in via Trieste. Across from Ponte Porciglia. It's a big multistory red building. Then walk across the bridge and you are there at the Cappella degli Scrovegni. http://www.apsholding.it/parcheggi/
We found parking in Padova difficult. On one trip we accidentally wandered down narrow lanes in Centro Storico and wound up by the park containing the Chapel and parked on the street. Pouring down rain and early morning after a quick drive up from Florence must have been on our side. Luck too. Never got a ticket but I'm sure we were where we weren't supposed to be. The next time we tried to park near the station which I found very scuzzy. There were 3 lots and each had dodgy appearing people hanging around. We would up driving to my favourite multi story car park in Mestre. I've never found an our of town car park in Padova. Sorry...
Roberto, Many thanks!
