Parking in Florence, Italy

I was wondering where to park and how safe it is to park in Florence while staying in a hotel. The hotel I am looking at does not seem to have it's own parking. I saw advertised that it is near payment parking. Is this guarded parking or just payment parking with no responsibility for loss or damage?

The last time we were in Florence we stayed at the Hotel Pendini in the middle of the historic city. We drove there - through the "no cars" zone - and had to cross the Piazza Rebulica. Our instructions from the hotel were to come up immediately and they would go down immediately and take the car to park it. They did. They brought it back when we checked out. It was very slick - no worries. It did cost us 35 Euros a day - but the car was safe.

I'd say check with your hotel directly and ask about parking. they may have a similar deal.
