Parking for Venice at Fusina Terminal

Hello. Has anyone parked their car at the Fusina Terminal and taken the ferry to Venice? Good experience?

Cannot see any real advantage to this. Why not park at Tronchetto? Or Piazzale Roma? Tronchetto is the cheaper of the two.

I'm wondering the same thing. It appears to be near lots for storing boats for the locals if that has any bearing on it. It's certainly less expensive, but wondering how safe the car will be for 3 days. It might be a nice boat ride into Venice, too.

We just returned. Ended up parking in a garage at Piazzale Roma per the advice of our hotel. Cost about 26 E per day. From there we took a water taxi to our hotel (JW Marriott) which was on a separate island. It was probably not the most cost-effective option, but definitely the most convenient and safe. All worked out well. Enjoy your trip to Venice, it's such a magical city. Hopefully it won't be nearly as hot or crowded as our visit. But even with record-breaking heat and crowds, I loved every minute!

It's cheaper. Parking €10 a day, with discount for first day if purchased on line.
For 3 days it comes down to €55 including round trip ferry (more if more than one person is using the ferry)

These are the FREE parking lots in Venice (Mestre). Used primarily by local commuters they are served by buses to the Mestre station or even Piazzale Roma. The second link is the map to the same. The ones with a P on a blue square sign are either free (light blue) or €1.50 a day (dark blue). The ones with a P on a round light blue sign are pay parking. Around the Mestre station you pay about €10 a day (half of Tronchetto or 1/3 of Piazzale Roma).
